Underworld I & II

Installation views and works from Julien Segard’s presentation at Experimenter, Kolkata. Underworld I — charcoal and pastel on paper mounted with wood and carpet — and Underworld II extend the drawing off the wall and into the corner of the room, so the flat sheet becomes a low, inhabitable structure. The gallery’s own edges are treated as another site to be occupied, mapped and quietly claimed.
