November Abroad — oil and charcoal on paper and board

Works on paper and installation views from Julien Segard’s presentation with Birla Academy of Art & Culture — charcoal, gouache and oil-stick drawings of Delhi’s flyovers, underpasses and wastelands. Titles such as Mahipalpur II, Rajghat and November Abroad read the city through its infrastructure, where the severe edges of built structure meet nature’s slow reclamation. Segard’s forceful markmaking turns distant horizons and column-like forms into an intimate, ominous portrait of the megacity’s overlooked edges.
